December 9th representatives from Avista's Named Communities Investment Fund & Energy Efficiency Programs, and Washington Dept. of Commerce toured our newest home.
Avista's residential rebate programs and NCIF have recognized the incredible Energy Efficiency of VCW's homes. Now their employees got to see IRL the beauty of coziness of these houses.
A whole-home heat pump made possible by NCIF cuts monthly heating and cooling costs in half. The heat pump hot water heater allows flexible, efficient water heating. The water heater can be adapted for highest efficiency in the summer, with variable settings to accommodate holiday gatherings and vacation needs. An Ecobee thermostat allows convenient remote control of the home's temperature.
Commerce's Brigid Henderson, Manufactured Housing Community Strategies Specialist, showed up too. Commerce has been uniquely supportive of VCW's efforts to pioneer new lending approaches for resident owned communities like Takesa.
